What this tool does
Calculate elapsed calendar age between two dates. Date-only values are normalized to UTC midnight. The calculation counts complete calendar months, then splits them into years and months. A missing anniversary day is clamped to the month’s last day; weeks and days describe the remaining days after those months. Hours, minutes and seconds are total date-only duration.
How to use Age Calculator
- Prepare the input. Select the birth date.
- Run or configure the tool. Select the as-of date explicitly.
- Check and use the output. Select Calculate Age and distinguish calendar remainder from total hours.

Limits, assumptions and interpretation
Use the browser date controls; the underlying value is YYYY-MM-DD, not arbitrary free-form dates.
- The target date must not precede the birth date.
- This does not use a birth time, calculate legal age rules, or show a next-birthday countdown.
- The default target date is the current UTC date; check it when your local date differs.
