# Rights, attribution and scope

Preserve every original notice in `component-licenses/`, `dependencies/`,
the source archives and the frontend MIT licence. Original copyright dates
and grants have not been replaced with a current upstream licence.

The controlled FFmpeg core reports GPL-2.0-or-later. It was configured with
`--enable-gpl`, including x264 and x265. It is not an LGPL-only FFmpeg build.
The supplied source contains all linked codec/filter libraries, interface
bindings, compile/link scripts and pinned inputs needed for the controlled
build. See the complete GPL and LGPL texts copied from the exact FFmpeg
archive, and each constituent's original terms. Relevant primary references
are [GNU GPL v2](https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.html) and
[GNU LGPL v2.1](https://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/lgpl-2.1.html).

Omniclip's original application grant is MIT, Copyright (c) 2024 Przemysław
Gałęzki. That grant and upstream author attribution remain in
`frontend/omniclip-main/LICENSE`. MIT metadata on the application does not
override the GPL core's terms. GPL obligations apply to the covered core
and any work based on it as defined by that licence. These materials include
the complete integrated Video application source and interfaces as well
as the core source, without declaring independent Tools applications GPL.
New OpusDesk integration recipes and interface adaptations supplied here
may be used, modified and redistributed under GPL-2.0-or-later; existing
upstream files retain their original notices and applicable grants.

Users may obtain, inspect, modify, rebuild and redistribute the covered
software under its applicable licence. For LGPL components, users may
modify the work for their own use and reverse engineer it to debug those
modifications. No OpusDesk term in these materials restricts those rights.
Readable caller and binding sources, exact build/link steps and the
replacement process are included to enable rebuilding/relinking the core
with modified libraries. A modified core requires its own regenerated
WASM manifest and source/material audit; do not mislabel it as the recorded
accepted core. No signatures, keys, account or upstream-only loader URL
prevent running a locally modified build.

The published `mediainfo.js` 0.3.2 package expressly selects BSD-2-Clause.
Its unchanged original `LICENSE.txt` permits source and binary distribution
subject to retention of its notice and disclaimer. MediaInfoLib 24.06's
default licence is BSD-style, with optional alternate licences; this
distribution retains the default BSD grant and does not elect LGPL
relicensing. The exact 24.06 `License.html` is preserved as
`mediainfo-sources/notices/MediaInfoLib-24.06-License.html.source.txt`.
ZenLib 0.4.41's original zlib notice is likewise preserved. The modified
JavaScript static embind invoker is disclosed separately from the unchanged
WASM. The unpublished historical compiler/port details are not inferred
from a newer release or represented as a source rebuild attestation.

This software is supplied without warranty as stated in the included
licences. Source access here does not promise H.265 operation or compatibility
across untested browsers; preserved FFmpeg linker warnings and root QA
records give the current evidence boundaries.
