What this tool does

Run a limited set of English spelling and style rules in your browser. Review suggestions for repetition, selected misspellings, line capitalization, spacing and frequently repeated filler words. Edit your original text manually; this tool does not check all grammar or certify a draft as correct.

How to use Grammar Checker

  1. Enter English text. Paste a short English draft. The checks use fixed rules, not a contextual language model or a complete dictionary.
  2. Run the checks. Select Check Grammar. Review the suggestion, line number and surrounding text. A suggestion may be inappropriate for quotations, headings or deliberate repetition.
  3. Edit and check again. Make changes yourself in the input, then run the check again. There are no automatic accept, dismiss or rewrite controls. No suggestions means only that these rules found nothing.

How this tool works

  • Supported input: English plain text
  • Output: Suggestions with line numbers and context

Worked example

Input: This is is a draft.

Output: One repeated-word suggestion for “is”.

Limits, edge cases, and troubleshooting

Review a short draft for simple oversights; retain deliberate repetition and headings when suggestions do not fit.

  • Not a complete dictionary or grammar analysis.
  • False positives and missed errors are possible; no subject-verb agreement certification.
  • Edit text manually; no accept/dismiss or automatic correction controls.

When to use another workflow

Frequently asked questions

Does this check every grammar error?

No. It does not reliably detect subject-verb agreement, fragments, run-on sentences or meaning errors. For example, “She go to school every day.” can produce no suggestions. Proofread the text yourself.

Which language and corrections are supported?

The rules target English. They flag repeated words, a fixed list of misspellings, line-start capitalization, spaces, ending punctuation and repeated filler words. Suggestions are informational; edit the input manually.

Is information sent to a server?

Tool inputs are processed in this browser. This product does not use analytics or send your input to an external API. Clicking an external website link still visits that website.
