What this tool does
Render PDF pages as downloadable PNG or JPEG images. PDF.js renders each page to a canvas at a scale of 1.5, then the browser encodes PNG or JPEG. JPEG quality applies only to JPEG output. A page measured at 200 by 100 PDF points becomes a 300 by 150 pixel raster at this scale.
How to use PDF to Images
- Prepare the input. Choose a PDF and select PNG or JPEG.
- Run or configure the tool. Select Convert to Images and wait for rendering.
- Check and use the output. Download individual pages or allow multiple downloads, then inspect dimensions and appearance.
How this tool works

Worked example
Input: A 200 × 100 point PDF page with a solid red area; PNG output
Output: A 300 × 150 pixel PNG; a point inside the red area has RGB 255, 0, 0.
Limits, assumptions and interpretation
PDF input is limited to 50 MiB and 50 pages for this raster workflow.
- Image output loses selectable text, PDF structure and interactive features.
- Large page dimensions can consume substantial canvas memory; reduce the input before conversion.
- PNG is lossless raster encoding; JPEG can change pixel values and is unsuitable when transparency must be preserved.
