Video Studio
Free online video editor that runs in your browser
OpusDesk Hub Video Studio is a browser video editor. Your files are decoded, edited and encoded on your own device with WebCodecs, so nothing is uploaded to a server and no account is needed.
Open the editor The editor needs a desktop Chrome or Edge browser.
How it works in the editor
Open the editor
The editor loads a small set of program files. The encoder binary downloads only when you export, so the first page is light.
Import your media
Drag files onto the media panel or use the import button. Video, audio and images stay in your browser's own storage; the originals on disk are never modified.
Arrange the timeline
Drag clips onto tracks, drag their edges to trim, and use the split tool at the playhead to cut a clip in two.
Add overlays
Text and images become their own effects with their own start and end times. Rotate, scale and reposition them directly on the preview.
Export an MP4
Choose a resolution and bitrate, then export. The result is a normal H.264/AAC MP4 you can play anywhere.
Limits worth knowing
- Editing and exporting are verified on current desktop Chromium browsers — Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge — on a computer. Firefox, Safari and mobile browsers have not been verified with this editor, so the supported surface today is desktop Chromium only.
- Exports are rendered frame by frame in memory. A long project at a high resolution can exhaust memory; keep the tab in the foreground and prefer 1080p for anything long.
- Projects and media live in this browser on this device. Export a project backup ZIP before you clear site data or switch computers.
Questions
Do I need an account or a credit card?
No. There is no sign-up, no subscription and no payment step anywhere in the editor or on this site.
Are my videos uploaded anywhere?
No. Importing, editing and exporting all happen inside the browser tab. The only network requests are for the editor's own program files on this site.
Which formats can I import?
MP4 (H.264/AVC) is the format verified end to end. Other containers and codecs depend on what your browser can decode; if a file cannot be read, the editor says so instead of stalling.
