Apply colour filters and see them in the export, not just the preview

Filters change the look of a clip: brightness, contrast, saturation, blur, pixelation and more. They are applied by the same renderer that produces the export, so what you preview is what you get.

Open the editor The editor needs a desktop Chrome or Edge browser.

How it works in the editor

  1. Select a clip

Filters attach to a clip, so select the video or image you want to change.

  2. Pick a filter

The filter panel lists the available effects. The common ones are shown first; the full list stays available.

  3. Adjust the strength

Use the filter's parameters to tune the effect — for example how strong a blur or how saturated the colours are.

  4. Compare

Toggle the filter off and on to judge it against the original. The preview runs the same shader the export uses.

  5. Export

Export the MP4. The filter is rendered into every frame.

Questions

Are the filters baked into the exported file?

Yes. Export renders each frame through the same pipeline the preview uses, so the filter is part of the MP4.

Can I use more than one filter on a clip?

Filters are configured per clip; you can add the ones you need and tune each one.

Why do some filters look different from a photo editor?

These are GPU shader effects tuned for video. They aim for a consistent, real-time look rather than a film-emulation grade.
